What it is
Five cards for when youโre worn down. The point is not to describe your state but to get to one thing you can do today.
Out and in
Positions 2 (what drains) and 4 (what refills) are a pair.
One discovery comes up here again and again: the thing you believed was refilling you is on the draining side. The screen you turn on to rest, the night out to cheer up, the phone call for comfort โ they land in position 2 surprisingly often.
Reading the two side by side is what makes that visible.
The postponed thing
Position 3 is what you know about and keep pushing back. Itโs usually small: a medical appointment, a message you owe, paperwork.
Small things you keep postponing run in the background and cost you continuously. A heavy card here often accounts for a large share of the tiredness.
Only one thing
Position 5 gives you one item on purpose. Tell an exhausted person to fix five things and they fix none.
Read it at the size of today. If the card seems to say โrestโ, narrow it to one form of resting you can manage before tonight.
To find out whether the trouble is in the head, the body or the motivation first, draw mind, body, spirit.
โ This is not medical advice. If your body or mind is genuinely struggling, thatโs a professionalโs question, not a cardโs. In the US and Canada you can call or text 988; in the UK and Ireland, Samaritans are on 116 123.
