What it is
For when effort goes in and nothing comes out. All five positions serve one question: where exactly is this stuck?
Surface versus actual
Positions 1 and 2 carry the spread.
Position 1 is what you have been calling the problem โ no time, no money, that person.
Position 2 is what is actually blocking it. The two rarely match. โNo timeโ is very often โstarting frightens meโ; โno moneyโ is very often โI donโt want to do thisโ.
If the two positions differ, that gap is the answer.
Yours and not yours
Positions 3 and 4 divide responsibility.
They exist because without the split you fall to one side or the other. Take all of it on yourself and you end up blaming yourself for things you cannot move; give all of it away and you leave untouched the things you could.
A heavy card in position 4 is fine. That isnโt failure, itโs a boundary. Knowing where your share ends is how you stop spending energy past it.
Only one place
Position 5 deliberately names a single point. Even when several things are stuck, pushing on all of them at once moves none of them.
If that card wonโt open up, add a clarifier โ thereโs a button under each card in the result.
To work the problem in stages, continue with problem solving; if the cause looks like something you canโt put down, use letting go.
