๐Ÿง˜ Mind, Body, Spirit

Three strands to show which part of you is carrying too much.

3 cards

1. Mind

2. Body

3. Spirit

What each position asks

  1. 1. Mind What your thinking is currently tied to
  2. 2. Body What your body is signalling โ€” strained or rested
  3. 3. Spirit What is actually driving you at the moment

What it is

Three strands of you, one card each: mind (thinking), body (condition), spirit (what drives you).

It works because people only feel their state as a lump. โ€œIโ€™m tired latelyโ€ contains an overheated head, a body that never rested, and a loss of appetite for anything โ€” three problems with three different remedies. Left as one lump, you treat the wrong one.

When to use it

This is a status check, not an answer to a specific question. It doesnโ€™t suit โ€œshould I change jobsโ€.

Reading order

Find the heaviest card first. Swords stacked here means thinking has overheated; a weighty Pentacle means the body and material side is under pressure; empty Cups means motivation has run dry.

Then read the relationship between positions. Mind and body pointing opposite ways is common โ€” the head says push, the body says stop. Which side the third card takes is what settles it.

One caution

This spread does not diagnose health. A heavy card in the body position does not mean something is wrong with you. If your body is genuinely unwell, thatโ€™s a doctorโ€™s question, not a cardโ€™s.

What the body position tells you is how you have been treating your body โ€” whether youโ€™re overriding it, whether youโ€™re ignoring signals.

Follow it with looking after yourself to turn it into something specific to change.
